"It was wonderful to see the children have a chance to choose objects that they felt were significant for them and to use these to trigger discussion. It gave them an opportunity to talk about their identity in relation to their home and family life and also their identity as part of the school community and the community of Sneinton. Some school families have lived in the area for generations and others are very new, but this simple exercise was a great tool for both celebrating difference and finding common ground. I felt the children were proud of the work they produced and enjoyed the session; as did I!"
